Functional Academic Curriculum for Exceptional Students

A functional, comprehensive educational program specifically designed to meet the needs of students with special needs. This is a flexible academic curriculum for exceptional students characterized by its adaptability to each student's abilities and individual needs. The program focuses on enhancing functional academic skills that enable students to handle daily life more independently and efficiently. The subjects include math, personal health science, social studies, vocational and language art focusing on social skills, communication, basic arithmetic, reading, and writing, as well as daily life skills like time management, money handling, and problem-solving. This approach boosts students' self-confidence and develops their potential to become active members of society.

TEACCH Program

Treatment and Education of Autistic and Communication Handicapped Children

The TEACCH method is a structured form of teaching focusing on organization of physical environment/physical structure, predictable sequence of activity, visual schedules, routines, flexibility, and work system. Thus, it helps students with ASD and nonverbal students to achieve educational goals, independence, and self-efficacy.
